Morning: Eat breakfast at the hotel and go around 28 kilometers (about 40 minutes) to Vontimitta.

Travel to Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Vontimitta, which is devoted to Lord Rama and famous for its exquisite Vijayanagara architecture.

See Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple, a gorgeously carved temple devoted to Lord Vishnu in his Keshava form, which is located close to Ontimitta.

At noon, continue on to Pushpagiri (about 30 miles; 45 minutes).

After breakfast at the hotel, travel around 80 kilometers in about two hours to Gandikota.

At midday, visit Gandikota Fort, a striking stone fort with a view of the breathtaking Pennar River Gorge.

See the tranquil Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple inside the fort, which is devoted to Lord Vishnu lounging on Adisesha.

See the architectural wonder that is Sri Madhavaraya Temple, which features elaborate sculptures.

Discover the Pennar River Gorge, dubbed the "Grand Canyon of India" with good reason.
