Mahendra Parvata, also known as Mahendragiri, is a prominent person in Hindu mythology. It is one of the "Kula Parvata" along with other holy mountains in Odisha's Gajapati district. It is said that Mahendragiri was selected for tapasya and endless meditation by Lord Parashurama, Vishnu's sixth avatar. A man of many facets, Parashurama is renowned for his bravery and knowledge.
